Morgan State 85, Howard 79 

BALTIMORE, Md. - The Bears outscored the Bison 85-79 behind 20-point performances from Will Thomas and Wynston Tabbs.  

After a close first half that saw the score sitting at 44-42 with MSU in the lead, the Bears pulled ahead a little more in the second half, 41-37, to claim the win.  

Thomas and Tabbs both recorded 20+ points putting 24 and 20 points on the board respectively. Rob Lawson and Allen Udemadu also recorded double-figures with 11 and 10 points apiece.  

Seth Towns and Bryce Harris led the Bison with 21 and 20 points respectively. Marcus Dockery and Dom Campbell also put up double digits with 15 points and 13 points in the game.

North Carolina Central 65, Maryland Eastern Shore 57 

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The Eagles used a big first half to carry through a low scoring second half in uprooting the Hawks on their home court.  

N.C. Central came out the gates on fire in the first half scoring 47 points while holding Md. Eastern Shore to just 27 points. The Hawks reveresed the score in the second half putting 30 points on the board while holding the Eagles to 18, however, the rally was not quite enough to overcome NCCU who improved the 3-1 in MEAC action.  

Ja’Darius Harris led NCCU with 21 points shooting 13-of-14 from the charity stripe. Po’Boigh King was the only other Eagle in double-digits with 12 points.  

Elijah Wilson led the Hawks with 15 points while Devon Ellis and Troy Hupstead were close behind with 13 and 12 points respectively.

Norfolk State 68, Coppin State 58 

NORFOLK, Va. - The Spartans carried the momentum from their come from behind win at Howard into this game claiming a 68-58 win over Coppin State.  

Norfolk State led Coppin State by six points 32 to 26 at the half. NSU held on to a slim four-point lead, 36-32, throughout the second half to pick up the win improving to 3-1 in MEAC play and a three-way tie for first.  

Rookie Chris Fields, Jr., led the Spartans with 19 points shooting 6-of-8 from the field. Tyrel Bladen and Christian Ings added 11 and 10 points respectively.  

Ryan Archey and Khali Horton led the Eagles with 15 points each as the only two CSU players in double figures.

South Carolina State 66, Delaware State 64 

DOVER, Del. - South Carolina State held on in a tough road game to defeat Delaware State 66-64 handing the Hornets their first MEAC loss.  

The Bulldogs led at halftime after a close first half that was separated by just one point, 36-35. The Hornets continued to battle in the second half and the score was again separated by one point, 30-29, but it was the Bulldogs who led again holding on for a two-point victory.  

Wilson Dubinsky was the only S.C. State player in double-digits with 17 points shooting 6-of-8 from the field. Michael Teal and Jordan Simpson both contributed eight points apiece.  

For Delaware State, rookie Deywilk Tavarez led the Hornets with 19 points shooting a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line. Jevin Muniz and Martaz Robinson joined Tavarez in double digits with 16 and 11 points respectively.
