WASHINGTON, D.C. - Seth Towns led the Bison to a 78-72 victory of Morehouse College behind a 27 point, 10 rebound double-double.
The teams went back and forth early in the first half before Morehouse opened an eight point lead, 15-7, near the 14-minute mark. Howard went on a 19-3 run taking an eight point lead of their own, 26-18, as the clock dropped under nine minutes. The Maroon Tigers came back to even the score at 31 all but it was the Bison who held the lead at the half, 39-36.
Howard held off Morehouse in the second half as the Maroon Tigers pulled within one point three times before the final buzzer.
Marcus Dockery was the next highest scoring Bison with 16 points while Bryce Harris added 14 points.

NORFOLK, Va. - The Spartans defeated the Dragons of the University of Virginia -Lynchburg 118-73 behind a 31-point performance from Chris Fields, Jr.
Norfolk State started off hot and quickly opened up a 10-point lead over Virginia-Lynchburg by the 16:30 mark. With ten minutes remaining in the half, the Spartans held a 20-point advantage, 31-8, and at the half NSU led by 30 points, 59-29.
The Spartans maintained their lead throughout the second half and claimed a 40-point lead, 100-60, with nearly six minutes remaining in the game. At the final buzzer, NSU claimed the 118-73 win.
George Beale, Jr. added 18 points as the second highest scorer. Allen Betrand (14), Christian Ings (13), and Daryl Anderson (11) closed out the top scorers for the Spartans. Nyzaiah Chambers led the team with 13 rebounds.

DURHAM, N.C. - Seven Eagles scored in double digits led by Morgan Callahan with 18 points and 12 rebounds as N.C. Central won 110-42.
NCCU put up a big first half scoring 28 points in the first quarter and 35 in the second to lead 63-26 at the half. The Eagles added another 32 points in the third quarter while holding the Battling Bishops to just six as the score sat at 95-32 heading into the final ten minutes. N.C. Central added another 15 points in the final quarter while the N.C. Wesleyan put up 10 putting the final score at 110-42.
Kyla Bryant and Kimia Carter tallied 17 points apiece while Sydney Avoletta posted a 16 point, 10 rebound performance for her first double-double of the season. Jada Tiggett returned to the lineup and scored 12 points while Janiah Jones and Aniya Finger both added 11 points.
