ORANGEBURG, S.C. – Coppin State's volleyball team recorded a season-high 12 aces and hit .333 in a 3-0 (25-12, 25-15, 25-7) victory at South Carolina State on Friday night at Dukes Gymnasium.  The Eagles improve to 13-3 overall and 3-0 in the MEAC with the victory.
 
Paola Caten led the way with 11 kills while hitting .450, followed by Hope Casel with nine kills on .538 swinging and Takenya Stafford with seven kills. Stafford also had a pair of aces and was second on the team with eight digs.

Morgan State 2, North Carolina Central 3
 
DURHAM, N.C. – Sophomore outside hitter Kamren Harper ripped five of her match-high 16 kills in the decisive fifth set to rally North Carolina Central to a 3-2 MEAC home win over Morgan State on Friday evening inside McDougald-McLendon Arena.
 
Harper drilled her five kills in the shorter set on just five attempts for a perfect 1.000 hitting percentage in that final frame. Harper reached double-digit kills for a fifth time this season with her 16 kills, and she hit .367 for the match.
 
The Eagles served up 12 aces in the triumph – the second most this season – including a service ace by graduate student Jeslyn Spencer on match point. Spencer finished with 12.5 points, including nine kills, three aces and one block assist. Junior libero Loren Johnson paced the victors with match-high totals of four aces and 23 digs.

Howard 0, Delaware State 3
 
DOVER, Del. - Delaware State cruised to a three-set victory (25-23, 25-16, 25-19) over the Howard Lady Bison Friday at home at Memorial Hall.
 
The conference win improved Delaware State's record to 9-8 overall and 2-1 in MEAC play. Gerren Tomlin finished with nine kills to lead the Hornets attack while finishing with a hitting percentage of .304. Maria Caratini lead the team defensively with25 digs. Kaulana Kalulu-Sugai had a match-high three aces in the win. Delaware State never trailed on the way to winning the second set 25-16.

Norfolk State 3, Maryland Eastern Shore 1
 
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Norfolk State women's volleyball team remains undefeated in conference play after picking up a four-set victory over Maryland Eastern Shore on Friday evening. The win marks the second consecutive season that the Spartans have defeated the Hawks in their home gymnasium. 
 
Gabrielle Gilbert ed the Spartan attack with 18 kills and a service ace, while Shonte Seale tallied 14 kills. Sydney McCree put up 34 assists as well as two service aces to go along with 11 digs.  Fabiana Mucciolated the back line with 15 digs and added seven assists.  Adlene Jideofor and Grace Smith both collected six kills while Briana Ellis and McCree each tallied four. Defensive specialist Trinity Mitchell led the team with three service aces in conjunction with her six digs.
