South Carolina State Men, Women Extend Winning Streaks

BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- 
The Defending MEAC champion South Carolina State men's tennis team extended its winning streak to five straight, after an impressive 4-2 win over host Campbell on Saturday at the Nisbet Tennis Center.

The Bulldogs improve to 7-7 overall, 3-0 MEAC.

The S.C. State women have now won seven in a row after defeating Campbell4-3 on Saturday, improving to 9-5 on the season.

Delaware State Posts Shutout Wins Over Coppin State, Bowie State

DOVER, Del. --
The Delaware State women's tennis team has won its last three matches after posting back-to-back 7-0 victories this past week against MEAC foe Coppin State and Bowie State.

Klaudija Lisovska had the most impressive singles performance for the Hornets against the Eagles, winning 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 4 contest. 

The Hornets won all six singles matches against Bowie State in straight sets.

Howard Women Defeat Towson on the Road

TOWSON, Md. --
The Howard University women's tennis team secured its first road win of the season, knocking off Towson 6-1.
 
Sophomore Sifa Butcher served as the club's No. 1 singles player for the first time in her collegiate career, defeating the Tigers' Sarah Pospichill in straight sets (6-4, 6-4).

Olmedo Shines in NCCU's Loss to UNC Asheville

DURHAM, N.C. -- 
North Carolina Central freshman Facundo Olmedo picked up his fourth singles victory in the Eagles' 6-1 loss to UNC Asheville at the Dr. James W. Younge Tennis Courts on Saturday afternoon.

In the sixth position, Olmedo battled and outlasted Tarek Erlewein 1-6, 6-4, 1-0 (5) to secure the lone maroon and gray point.
