DOVER, Del. -- Delaware State will head into the MEAC Basketball Tournament with some momentum after Thursday's 68-44 win over Maryland Eastern Shore in Memorial Hall.
The Hornets have won three of their last four and ended the regular season 7-18 overall and 5-9 in MEAC play.
Savannah Brooks led Delaware State with 20 points, to go along with eight rebounds, three steals and two blocks, while Tyshonne Tollie added 14 points and a team-high 13 boards. Jayla Johnson gave the Hornets three in double figures with 12 points.

Howard 60, Norfolk State 55
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Defending MEAC champion Howard wrapped up its regular season on Thursday evening with a 60-55 win over regular-season champion Norfolk State in Burr Gymnasium.
Howard ends the regular season at 14-13 and 10-4 in MEAC play, tied with Morgan State for second. The Bison head into next week's conference tournament having won seven of their last nine games.
Destiny Howell had a game-high 23 points to lead the Bison, while Brooklynn Fort-Davis added 10 points and a team-high 12 rebounds.

Morgan State 57, Coppin State 49
BALTIMORE, Md. -- Charlene Shepherd's double-double helped Morgan State snap its four-game losing streak Thursday evening, as the Lady Bears defeated crosstown rival Coppin State 57-49 in Hill Field House.
The Lady Bears head into the MEAC Basketball Tournament at 17-10 overall and 10-4 in MEAC play, tied with Howard for second place in the league standings.
Shepherd dropped 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Morgan State, while Sunshine McCrae added 11 points and Ja'Niah Henson added 10.

North Carolina Central 61, South Carolina State 47
ORANGEBURG, S.C. -- Kimeira Burks and Morgan Callahan both scored in double figures for North Carolina Central on Thursday evening, as the Eagles wrapped up the regular season with a 61-47 win over South Carolina State in Smith-Hammond-Middleton.
The Eagles conclude the regular season 14-15 overall and 8-6 in league play. They have won four of their last six games.
Burks and Callahan led the way with 10 points each, while Aniya Finger added 10 rebounds.
