BALTIMORE, Md. – Redshirt sophomore Will Thomas had 24 points to lead Morgan State to an 89-76 victory over Howard on Monday night in front of a raucous "Greek Night" crowd of 4,880 at Hill Field House. The win snapped the Bison's nine-game win streak.
Thomas scored 17 of his game-high 24 points (7-13 FG) in the second half and also grabbed seven rebounds for the Bears who improved to 13-14 overall and 6-6 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play.
The Bears will return home for a rematch against the Delaware State Hornets on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 25) in Baltimore. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at Hill Field House.

DOVER, Del. – Junior guard Martaz Robinson scored a career-high 28 points, including two free throws with 8.2 seconds left to lead Delaware State to a 69-68 victory over South Carolina State before an energetic Memorial Hall crowd on Monday night.
The Hornets snapped a three-game losing streak, while sweeping the season series against the Bulldogs to improve to 6-20 overall and 4-7 in the MEAC.
The Hornets are back in action on Saturday at Morgan State at 4 p.m. in Baltimore, Md.
Coppin State 69, Norfolk State 62
NORFOLK, Va. – Nendah Tarke scored a game-high 19 points and Sam Sessoms recorded 17 points on a career-high 15-of-19 free throws to lead the Coppin State men's basketball team to a 69-62 victory at Norfolk State on Monday night at Echols Hall. The Eagles move to 7-21 overall and 2-9 in the MEAC while the Spartans fall to 19-8 with an 8-3 mark in league play.
Tarke hit 8-of-12 shots from the floor with a pair of 3-pointers while grabbing four rebounds, two steals and a block. Tarke is closing in on 1,000 points and now has 978 in his career.
Coppin hosts Maryland Eastern Shore for Senior Day on Saturday, February 25 in a 4 p.m. tipoff.

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The North Carolina Central University men's basketball team used stout defense and size advantage to earn its fourth consecutive victory with a 68-63 win over the University of Maryland Eastern Shore inside Hytche Arena on Monday night.
In the final two minutes of the game turnovers and missed free throws allowed UMES to cut a 12-point deficit (58-46) to as close as three. However, senior forward Nicolas Fennell and junior guard Ja'Darius Harris combined for seven made free throws down the stretch to put the game on ice.
Up next, NCCU (14-11, 7-4 MEAC) will close out the month of February with two home games at McDougald-McLendon Arena. First, they will welcome Howard on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 4 p.m. and then face Norfolk State on Monday, Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m.
