DOVER, Del. – Four North Carolina Central men's basketball players scored in double figures to lead the Eagles past Delaware State 66-58 to earn its third consecutive MEAC victory.

The maroon and grey offense was a healthy balance of inside and outside scoring which helped them shoot efficiently. They shot 47.7% from the field (21-44) and 41.7% from beyond the arc (5-12).

Junior guard Justin Wright registered 14 points and six rebounds while shooting 50% (4-8) from the field and perfect from the charity stripe (6-6).
 
Up next, NCCU (13-11, 6-4 MEAC) will travel to Princess Anne, Md. to take on the Hawks of Maryland Eastern Shore on Monday, Feb. 20 at 7:30 p.m.
 
Howard 80, Coppin State 70
 
BALTIMORE, Md. - Elijah Hawkins (20) and Jordan Wood (19) combined for 39 points to lead the Howard men’s basketball team to an 80-70 victory over Coppin State on Saturday at the Physical Education Complex.
 
Steve Settle and Marcus Dockery added 14 and 12 points, respectively for the Bison (17-10, 9-1 MEAC).
 
For Coppin State, Sam Sessoms (6-21, 1-9 MEAC) dropped a career-high 37 points on 16-of-25 shooting from the field and added seven rebounds, five assists and four steals. His 16 made field goals are the second-most ever by a CSU player, and the most in CSU's NCAA era.
 
The Bison take on Morgan State in Baltimore at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
 
Maryland Eastern Shore 78, South Carolina State 62
 
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team returned to the win column on Saturday evening, knocking off visiting South Carolina State by a 78-62 final.

With the win, the Hawks (15-10, 7-3 MEAC) retain third place in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference standings. The Bulldogs (5-21, 2-8 MEAC) hold the seventh slot in the conference.

The Hawks host North Carolina Central on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
 
Norfolk State 76, Morgan State 63
 
NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State men's basketball team gave a crowd of 4,155 a show on Saturday, defeating Morgan State 72-50 at Echols Hall. The Spartans improved to 19-7, 8-2 in the MEAC.
 
Kris Bankston scored a career-high 24 points in a 77-71 loss at Morgan State on Jan. 23, and he brought his A-game once again in the rematch. The graduate senior dropped 23 points and pulled in nine rebounds on Saturday, racking up five blocks as well.
 
Joe Bryant Jr. (13) and Cahiem Brown (12) also scored in double figures for the Spartans, with all of the former's points coming in the second half. Brown showed off his playmaking ability while stifling the Bears' facilitators, recording four assists and four steals.
 
Norfolk State returns to Echols Hall one last time on Monday, Feb. 20, for Senior Night against Coppin State. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
