Aziah Hudson led the way with 17 points as defending champion Howard picked up a 57-42 road win over Delaware State on Saturday afternoon in Memorial Hall Gym.

The Bison improved to 10-11 overall and 6-2 in league play.

Hudson was 6-for-14 from the floor and hit four of her eight 3-point attempts. Destiny Howell added 15 points, while Krislyn Marsh and Kaiya Creek each pulled down a team-high six rebounds.

Morgan State 68, North Carolina Central 63

DURHAM, N.C. --
Gabrielle Johnson came off the bench to pour in a game-high 21 points, helping Morgan State remain unbeaten in MEAC play on Saturday with a 68-63 win over North Carolina Central at McDougald-McLendon Arena.

The Lady Bears (15-6, 8-0 MEAC) have won eight in a row.

Johnson was one of three Morgan players in double figures; Charlene Shepherd added 15 points, while Ja'Niah Henson chipped in 13. Taylor Addison grabbed a team-high 14 rebounds.

Norfolk State 53, Maryland Eastern Shore 51

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. -- 
Norfolk State led by as many as nine points in the first half, but survived a second-half rally by Maryland Eastern Shore in sweep in the season series over the Hawks with a 53-51 MEAC victory on Saturday afternoon at the Hytche Athletic Center.
 
Norfolk State (18-5 overall, 6-2 MEAC) led 27-18 with just over five minutes to play in the first half, but Maryland Eastern Shore (5-16, 1-6) used an 8-1 run to close the half as the two teams traded the lead in the final two periods.
 
Kierra Wheeler led NSU's offense with 13 points, on 6-of-9 shooting, with a team-high eight rebounds and one steal. Crystal White and Camille Downs each recorded eight points, while Mahoganie Williams, Danielle Robinson and Makoye Diawara registered seven points apiece.

South Carolina State 61, Coppin State 50

ORANGEBURG, S.C. -- 
Nicole Gwynn tossed in an team-high 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead South Carolina State to a season sweep over visiting Coppin State Saturday at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.

South Carolina State improves to 3-20 overall, 2-6 in the MEAC, while Coppin State falls to 5-17 overall, 2-5 in the league.

Janiah Hinton added 12 points and three assists, while Aja Smith chipped in 11 points on the day. Lovely Sonnier fell two points short of another double-double, finishing the game with eight points and 12 rebounds in the win.
