The Hawks started off the the game taking a 19-17 lead through the first quarter, but the Pirates bounced back in the second quarter to lead 32-28 at the halftime break. Seton Hall continued to roll in the second half scoring 46 points while holding Maryland Eastern Shore to 26 points in the third and fourth quarters.
Ariana Seawell led the Hawks with 17 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double against the Pirates. Seawell shot 8-of-10 from the field in the game. Mya Thomas joined Seawell in double-figures with 14 points going 5-of-9 from the field including shooting 4-of-5 from behind the three-point arch.

Norfolk State 76, Chicago State 68 (Independent)
The Spartans led the Cougars throughout the first three quarters to claim the 76-68 victory over Chicago State. NSU opened the game scoring 13 points in the first quarter and adding 21 in the second while holding CSU to 24 total first half points. Norfolk State added 23 points in the third quarter to their 34 first half points taking a 57 to 42 lead into the final quarter. Chicago State outscored Norfolk State 26-19 in the fourth quarter but the Cougars rally fell short as the Spartans claimed their seventh win of the season, 76-68.
Junior forward Kierra Wheeler had a career day scoring 29 points and picking up 15 rebounds, while shooting 11-of-19 from the field and 70 percent (7-10) from the free throw line. First year Da’Brya Clark was the only other Spartan to score in double digits with 13 points. Niya Field produced nine points to go along with five rebounds, six steals, and seven assists.

Charleston Southern 68 (Big South), South Carolina State 58
South Carolina State came out of the gate scoring 24 points in the first quarter while holding Charleston Southern to 17 points. The Buccaneers bounced back in the second quarter holding the Bulldogs to only nine points while putting up 23 points before the halftime buzzer rang. S.C. State won the third quarter scoring 17 points to Charleston Southern’s 11, but like the first half the scores flipped in the fourth quarter with CSU outscoring SCSU 17-8 to claim the win 68-58.
Morgan Beacham led the Bulldogs with 14 points while Janiah Hinton was close behind with 13. Both Cassandra Colòn and Taniya McGowan tallied 10 points apiece.

East Carolina 59 (American), Coppin State 51
The Eagles led the Pirates 17-12 after the first quarter and despite only scoring 10 points in the second quarter, CSU still led 27-25 at the halftime break. Coppin State added 12 points in the third quarter and led East Carolina 39-36 heading into the final ten minutes, but a big fourth quarter for the Pirates, 24-12, pushed them ahead of the Eagles as ECU won 59-51.
Laila Lawrence led the Eagles with a near double-double after scoring 11 points with nine rebounds. Niyah Gaston was the next highest CSU scorer with nine points. Colleen Bucknor joined Lawrence with nine rebounds.

Saint Francis (Pa.) 69 (NEC), Morgan State 59
The two teams were pretty even throughout the first quarter as Saint Francis led Morgan State by two, 18-16. The Red Flash pulled ahead in the second going on a 16-9 run to lead 34-27 heading into halftime. The Bears responded with a 14-9 third quarter run closing the Red Flashes lead to four points, 43-39. Saint Francis finished out the game with a 26-20 fourth quarter to hold on for a 10-pont win 69-59.
Tamaria Rumph led the bears with 12 points and a team-high four steals. Kaia Ponder and Jael Butler both tallied 11 points apiece with Ponder adding eight rebounds. Joelle Johnson led the team with nine rebounds.
