James Madison 89 (Sun Belt), Morgan State 75 

The Dukes held a 12-point advantage at the half after scoring 47 points while the Bears put up 35 points in the first half of action. The second half the difference was only two points between the score, 42-40, but the first half lead that James Madison built up was enough to hold off Morgan State who fell 89-75.  

MSU was led by Will Thomas with 20 points shooting 7-of-15 from the field and 5-of-7 from the free throw line. Kamron Hobbs added 16 points while Rob Lawson contributed 14 with a team-high six assists. Allen Udemadu led the Bears with eight rebounds.

South Carolina State 101, Brewton-Parker 84 (NAIA/Appalachian Athletic Conference) 

The first half of action saw the Bulldogs lead the Barons by a closer margin of 44-40 at the halftime break. S.C. State answered in the second half with 57 points while giving up 44 to Brewton-Parker as SCSU claimed the 101-84 victory. 

Davion Everett led the Bulldogs with a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds. Wilson Dubinsky added 15 points, all from three-point shots, while Jordan Simpson and RaQuan Brown each contributed 10 points apiece.

Virginia Commonwealth 75 (A-10), Maryland Eastern Shore 51 

The Rams of VCU held the Hawks of UMES to 23 first half points while putting 37 points through the rim to lead at the halftime buzzer. Maryland Eastern Shore added 28 points to their score in the second half while VCU added 38 to claim the 75-51 victory.  

The Hawks were led by Tyler Mack with 12 points as the only player in double-digits. Elijah Wilson added eight points while Troy Hupstead put in seven points and brought down seven rebounds.
