The Rams led the first quarter 18-12 but the Hawks held the Rams to nine points in the second quarter while scoring another 12 points putting the score at 27-24 with VCU leading at the break. Virginia Commonwealth came out in the second half on a tear scoring a combined 32 points while holding Maryland Eastern Shore to a total of 12 points to claim the 59-36 win.
Ariana Seawell led the Hawks with 10 points while Mya Thomas was close behind with eight points.

LSU opened the game putting up 24 points in the first quarter and holding Coppin State to 10. The teams were even in the second quarter at 16 points each putting the score at 40-26 at halftime. LSU repeated their first half scores in the second half, 24 points in the third and 16 in the fourth, while CSU scored seven and 15 points respectively
Tiffany Hammond had a breakout game against the Tigers of LSU scoring 21 points off of seven three-point shots. Laila Lawrence put up a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds while Faith Blackstone rounded out the top scorers with 10 points.

North Carolina Central 79, Longwood 70 (Big South)
The Lancers held the advantage over the Eagles after the first half leading 35-30 at the break. N.C. Central came out in the second half on fire putting up 49 points while holding Longwood to 35 points to go on to claim the 79-70 win.
Ja’Darius Harris led the Eagles with a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds after shooting 7-of-12 from the field, 2-of-3 from behind the three-point arch, and a perfect 5-of-5 from the charity stripe. Fred Cleveland, Jr., added 16 points, 10 of which came from the free throw line (10-of-12). Devin Gordon and Po’Boigh King rounded out the top scorers with 14 and 10 points respectively.

East Carolina 79 (American), Delaware State 50
The Pirates held a strong lead over the Hornets at the end of the first half with the score sitting at 35-19. Delaware State rallied in the second half scoring 31 points but East Carolina added 44 to their total to claim the 79-50 victory.
Oba Wesley led the Hornets with 15 points and nine rebounds, one shy of a double double. Brandon Stone was the only other Delaware State player in double-digits with 11 points.

UTEP 67 (CUSA), Norfolk State 65
The two teams were neck-and-neck through the first 20 minutes of action as the score sat tied at 30 all at halftime. The second half continued to be a battle as the teams traded free throws late in the game with the Miners of UTEP claiming the 67-65 victory.
Allen Betrand led the Spartans with 18 points shooting 4-of-9 from the field and perfect from the charity stripe (8-of-8) while also adding six rebounds. Jamarii Thomas was the only other NSU player in double-digits with 13 points.

UC Santa Barbara 94 (Big West), Howard 81
The Gauchos led the Bison throughout the first half and held a 49-41 advantage at the break. The second half was closer as the teams were separated by five points, 45-40, but UC Santa Barbara held on to claim the 94-81 victory in the high-scoring affair.
Howard was led by Marcus Dockery with 24 points shooting 10-of-17 from the field. Isaiah Warfield also hit 20 points in the game, going 7-of-11 from the field and 3-of-4 from both three-point range and the free throw line. Seth Towns was the last Bison in double-digits with 13 points.
