The teams were separated by 14 points at the halftime break with the score sitting at 45-31 in the Eagles favor. NCCU put up a big second half of 57 points while holding SAU to just 19 points as N.C. Central won 102-50. 

Fred Cleveland, Jr., led the Eagles with a career-high 30 points shooting 10-of-19 from the field, 6-of-11 from beyond the three-point arc, and 4-of-6 from the free throw line.

Hofstra 74 (CAA), Norfolk State 58 

The first half of action was back and forth between the two teams with Norfolk State holding a slim 32-31 lead heading into halftime. The Pride came out in the second half putting up 43 points on the board while holding the Spartans to 26 to win the game 74-58.  

Jamarii Thomas led the Spartans with 17 points to go along with six rebounds and seven assists. Christian Ings added 15 points as the only other scorer in double figures.

Pittsburgh 86 (ACC), South Carolina State 50 

South Carolina State posted 20 points in the first half while adding 30 points in the second for 50 total against the Panthers. Pitt put together two halves of 36 and 50 points to win 86-50.  

The Bulldogs were led by Atiba Taylor with 14 points as the only SCSU player in double-digits.

Auburn 67 (SEC), Norfolk State 39 

Auburn and Norfolk State remained close in score throughout the first half of action as the Tigers scored 13 points in both the first and second quarters while the Spartans scored nine points in the first and 11 in the second to enter halftime trailing 26-20. Auburn put up a big third quarter of 27 points while holding Norfolk State to seven points before the Tigers led the fourth quarter 14-12 putting the final score at 67-39. 

Diamond Johnson and Kierra Wheeler led the Spartans with 15 points apiece while Wheeler also added 11 rebounds for a double-double.

Howard 46, Florida Atlantic 45 (American) 

The teams were neck and neck through the first half of action as Howard led Florida Atlantic 13-10 in the first quarter, while FAU led 12-11 in the second putting the score at 24-22 Howard’s lead. The Bison came out of halftime on a 17-13 run increasing their halftime lead to 41-35, but the Owls held the Bison to only five points in the fourth quarter while scoring 10 of their own to pull within one point, 46-45, as time expired and Howard held on for the win.  

Kaiya Creek led Howard with 12 points while Nile Miller contributed 11 rebounds alongside nine points. Nyla Cooper and Vanessa Blake both scored seven points apiece.

Maryland Eastern Shore 72, Wagner 50 (NEC) 

Maryland Eastern Shore came out of the gates going up 26-11 over Wagner and led in the second quarter 19-13 taking a 45-24 lead into the break. The Seahawks won the third quarter 14-12, while the Hawks flipped the score in the fourth quarter leading 15-12 to go on and win 72-50. 

Ariana Seawell led the Hawks with 32 points going 11-of-17 from the field and 10-of-12 from the free throw line while also adding seven rebounds. Ashantia Lynch and Ja’la Bannerman both tallied nine points as the next highest scorers while Mahogany Lester joined Seawell with seven rebounds.

Presbyterian 63 (Big South), South Carolina State 52 

The teams were close through the first two quarters as the Blue Hose led the first quarter 10-8 while the Bulldogs led the second quarter 14-13 to enter halftime with the score at 23-22 Presbyterian leading by one. After the third quarter, PC pulled ahead by eight points scoring 24 points while holding SCSU to 17 points. The fourth quarter saw the Blue Hose lead 16-13 putting the final score at 63-52.  

Morgan Beacham led the Bulldogs with 14 points while Taniya McGowan was close behind with 12 points. Janiah Hinton added nine points to go along with seven assists.
