The Bison led Tigers late in the first quarter to take a 39-36 lead into the halftime break. Jackson State put together a big push in the second half scoring 45 points, ten more than Howard’s 35, to win the game 81-74.
Marcus Dockery led the Bison with 20 points while Bryce Harris was second with 15 points. Isiah Warfield added 12 points with Shy Odom wrapping up the top scorers with 10 points.

The Bison dropped their second game in as many days after falling to the Tigers of Texas Southern 79-78 in the Chris Paul HBCU Challenge in Las Vegas, Nevada. Howard opened the game strong holding a 41-30 lead over Texas Southern in the first half as the teams entered the break. The tables turned in the second half as the Tigers outscored the Bison 49-37 giving TSU the one-point victory.
Howard was led by Seth Towns with 16 points to go along with six rebounds. Dom Campbell added 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds. Ose Okojie contributed 11 points while Isiah Warfield rounded out the top scorers with 10 points and six rebounds.

Women's Basketball
Stetson 56 (ASUN), Morgan State 48
The teams were as close as they could be without being tied after the first quarter as Stetson led 19-18 heading into the second quarter. The Hatters put up 22 points over the Bears who only scored seven points heading into the half trailing 41-25. As the teams came out of the break the score was knotted at nine all in the third quarter while Morgan State led the fourth quarter, 14-6, but their efforts were not enough to catch Stetson who won 56-48.
Joelle Johnson led the Bears with 17 points and nine rebounds, one shy of a double-double. Kaia Ponder was the only other MSU player in double-figures with 11 points.

Binghamton 64 (America East), Coppin State 52
The two teams were nearly even at the half after both scored 14 points in the first quarter while Binghamton held a slim 9-8 advantage in the second as the score sat at 25-24 at the break. The Bearcats won both second half quarters, 22-17 and 19-13, taking the 64-52 victory.
Laila Lawrence led the Eagles with a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds. Tyler Gray was the next highest scorer for Coppin State with eight points. Charia Roberts tallied 10 rebounds in the game.
