Morgan State 120, Virginia University of Lynchburg 50 (Div. 3) 

The Bears nearly doubled the Dragons first half score of 26 points but putting 54 points on the scoreboard in the first half. Morgan State nearly tripled the Virginia-Lynchburg score in the second half as MSU posted 66 points in the final 20 minutes. 

Eight of the nine Morgan State players that got in the game scored in double figures led by Trent Edwards and Christian Oliver with 18 points each. Daniel Akitoby tallied 16 points while Marvin Brimage added 15. Kamron Hobbs and Demajion Topps both tallied 14 points while Will Thomas and Allen Udemadu added 12 and 11 points respectively.

Longwood 62 (Big South), Delaware State 61 

The two teams were neck and neck throughout the first half as Longwood held a 34-30 lead heading into the halftime break. The Hornets led the Lancers in the second half 31-28, but a missed three-pointer at the buzzer ended DSU’s shot of beating Longwood. 

MEAC Co-player of the week, Martaz Robinson led the Hornets with 22 points and seven assists. The Rookie of the week, Deywilk Tavarez was the other Hornet to score in double-figures with 11 points.

Bethune-Cookman 80 (SWAC), South Carolina State 71 

The game between the Bulldogs and the Wildcats was close throughout. B-CU led SCSU 37-30 at the half. The Bulldogs closed the gap in the second half, trailing 43-41, but SCSU ran out of time to catch B-CU falling 80-71. 

Wilson Dubinsky led SCSU with 11 points. Davion Everett and James Marrow were the only other players to reach double-figures, scoring 10 points apiece, while both also recorded nine rebounds.

Radford 82 (Big South), North Carolina Central 74 

Radford led throughout the first half to head into the halftime break with a 46-33 advantage. The Eagles led throughout the second half outscoring the Highlanders 41-36, but the run was not enough to catch Radford who won 82-74.  

Four Eagles scored in double-figures led by Josh Smith with 19 points. Po’Boigh King was close behind with 17 points and seven rebounds. Devin Gordon and Guy Fauntleroy joined the scoring party with 10 points each.

George Washington 76 (A-10), Coppin State 45 

George Washington put together two strong halves of basketball upending the Coppin State Eagles 76-45. 

Justin Winston led the Eagles with 15 points in the game against the Revolutionaries. Greg Spurlock and Ryan Archey both recorded double-digit games with 11 and 10 points respectively. Toto Fagbenle tallied 10 rebounds for the Eagles.

Norfolk State 64, Illinois State 58 (Missouri Valley) 

Norfolk State lead Illinois State throughout the first half leading by as many as 12 points, 15-3, and held a 27-22 lead at the break. The Redbirds pulled within four points of the Spartans a few times throughout the second half, but NSU was able to hold on to win 64-58 to improve to 7-3 on the season. 

Jamarii Thomas led the Spartans with half of the teams points in the game scoring 31 points on the day. Thomas shot 7-of-18 from the field and 15-of-17 from the free throw line. Allen Betrand was the only other Spartan in double digits with 12 points in the game. Three players sat tied at six points each in Christian Ings, Tyrel Bladen, and Tyrese Jenkins.
