MEAC Volleyball Recap, Nov. 8

BALTIMORE, Md. - The Eagles of Coppin State University clinched the MEAC regular season title with a three-set sweep over the Bears of Morgan State University. CSU improves to 12-1 in MEAC action with one game remaining and sits at 23-4 overall.  

The two teams were neck-and-neck through the first set with the score at the end of the sitting at 27-25 in favor of the Eagles. Coppin State held the lead throughout a majority of the second set, but Morgan State closed the gap late. CSU held on to win set 25-18 and closed out the match winning set three 25-21.  

Paola Caten led the Eagles with 12 kills. Andrea Tsvetanova led in assists with 25, while Ashley Roman dug up 12 attacks. Makila Billingsley paced the Bears with 12 kills while teammate Trinity Carruthers colectd 23 assists.  

The same two teams will meet again on Friday evening at Coppin State for Senior Night. First serve is set for 7 PM.
