MEAC Announces Weekly Bowling Honors, presented by Coca-Cola

NORFOLK, Va., Nov. 8, 2023 — North Carolina A&T State graduate student Lauren Tomaszewski was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola, the conference office announced today. Coppin State freshman Victoria Davis was named the MEAC Rookie of the Week.  
  
Tomaszewski (Gr., O’Fallon, Ill.) finished ninth at the Track Kat Klash in Houston while helping the No. 4 Aggies defeat No. 13 Newman University and No. 3 Nebraska. She averaged 212.60 pins per match after totaling 1,063 downed pins for the weekend. pins in traditional play. For the weekend, Tomaszewski averaged 21.73 pins per frame, had a 56.8 strike percentage while averaging 9.22 pins on her first ball. In Baker play, she averaged 22.01 pins per frame and the weekend saw her record a 89.4 fill percentage. Tomaszewski helped the Aggies finish fourth at the tournament with an 8-5 record and a total pinfall of 13,460. 

Davis (Fr., New Millford, Conn.) led Coppin State at the Virginia Union Invitational, totaling 811 pins for a 162.20 average as the Eagles finished sixth at the meet. She averaged a team-high 15.15 pins per frame with a 54 percent overall fill percentage, 34 strikes and converted 39.7% of her makeable spares. 

Other Top Performers 
Alyssa Breidegam (Delaware State)
finished second at the Virginia Union invitational this past weekend with an average of 188.80. Alyssa also was named to the all-tournament team. 

Brooke Roberts (Maryland Eastern Shore) finished 14th in individual competition and averaged 20.32 pins per frame during last week's Track Kat Klash.
