George Mason 70 (A10), Coppin State 38 

The Patriots led the Eagles throughout the entirety of the contest, nearly doubling Coppin State’s points total. After scoring just eight points in the first quarter, CSU scored 10 points in each of the remaining three quarters for a final tally of 38 points.  

Laila Lawrence led the Eagles with 13 points and added six rebounds.

Norfolk State 58, Colgate 51 (Patriot League) 

Norfolk State came out strong in the first half scoring 30 points while holding Colgate to only 19 at the half. Despite allowing Colgate to score 32 points in the second half, the Spartans 28 points were just enough to keep NSU ahead on the scoreboard. 

Kierra Wheeler led NSU with 15 points. Niya Fields added 12 points while Da’naijah Williams put up 11 and Makoye Diawara added 10.

Maryland Eastern Shore 70, UMBC 54 (AEC) 

The Hawks outscored the Retrievers in the first and fourth quarters while staying close in the second and third to pull out the 70-54 win over UMBC.  

Zamara Haynes recorded 23 points for the Hawks, while Ariana Seawell posted a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds. Ja’la Bannerman also added double-digit points with 14.

Manhattan 53 (MAAC), Howard 50 

Howard managed to lead Manhattan in the first two quarters while tying the third quarter to head into the final ten-minute period with the 39-32 lead. A strong finish of 21 points from the Jaspers gave Manhattan just enough distance to gain the victory.  

Tyana Walker led the Bison with 18 points.

Duke 93 (ACC), North Carolina Central 45 

Duke used a strong first half where the Blue Devils scored 52 points to push past the Eagles of N.C. Central 93-45. NCCU only managed to score 16 points in the first half and added 29 in the second.  

Morgan Callahan led the Eagles with 16 points.
