MEAC Announces Weekly Bowling Honors, presented by Coca-Cola

NORFOLK, Va., Nov. 21, 2023 — North Carolina A&T State graduate student Katie Robb was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola, the conference office announced today. University of Alabama Birmingham freshman Madison Colston was named the MEAC Rookie of the Week.  
 
Robb (Gr., Swedesboro, N.J.) helped the No. 4 Aggies go 10-3 on the weekend including a 1,125-1,075 victory over No. 1 Vanderbilt. Robb bowled a 255 total pinfall against the Commodores. North Carolina A&T Also picked up wins over No. 11 Duquesne, No. 20 Wisconsin – Whitewater, No. 6 Youngstown State, and No. 21 Lincoln Memorial.  

In traditional format she finished first in the MEAC this past weekend while she was seventh in baker format. For the weekend, Robb averaged 21.52 pins per frame, had a 62.1 strike percentage while averaging 9.34 pins on her first ball.  

Colston (Fr., Pinellas Park, Fla.) helped the Blazers to a second-place team finish at the ISTAP Hornet Classic in Montgomery, Ala. hosted by Alabama State. UAB picked up wins over Emmanuel, Grambling, and Florida A&M. On the weekend, she averaged 18.36 pins per frame, had a 41.4 strike percentage and averaged 8.69 pins on first ball. 

Other Top Performers 
Brooke Roberts (Maryland Eastern Shore)
led the Hawks to a 5-6 record as Maryland Eastern Shore finished 15th in the Hawk Classic. Roberts collected a 22.28 average per frame, while averaging a 22.42 sum in Traditional games and 22.16 per frame in Baker style.  

Victoria Davis (Coppin State) finished 19th in the individual standings with a 170.0 average in traditional play. The rookie finished with a per frame average of 16.75 pins with a sum of fill percentage at 75.5%. She also averaged 8.37 pins on her first ball while making 71.4% of her makeable spares. 

Keagan Trexler (UAB) helped the Blazers to a second-place team finish at the ISTAP Hornet Classic in Montgomery, Ala. hosted by Alabama State. On the weekend, she averaged 17.99 pins per frame, had a 37.7 strike percentage and averaged 8.64 pins on first ball.
