The Chanticleers took the early lead going up 17-9 in the opening quarter, however, the Bulldogs bit back in the second quarter scoring 18 points while holding Coastal Carolina to 10 points. The score sat tied at 27 heading into the halftime break. Both teams came out of the break scoring 23 points apiece in the third quarter to sit knotted at 50 all. The Chanticleers outlasted the Bulldogs pulling away in the fourth quarter 23-11 to win the game 73-61.
Cassandra Colon and Jordan Releford both scored 11 points each. Morgan Beacham added nine points and a team-high four assists.

Hofstra 66, Delaware State 53
The Pride of Hofstra held a slim lead over the Hornets of Delaware State 19-15 after the end of the first quarter. DSU bounced back in the second quarter outscoring Hofstra 20-14 taking a 35-33 lead into the break. The Pride came out of halftime taking control of the game scoring 23 points in the third quarter while holding the Hornets to 11 points. Hofstra again edged by Delaware State in the fourth, 10-7, to claim the win.
Denijsha Wilson led the Hornets with 18 points and tied for the team lead in rebounds with six. Savannah Brooks was the only other DSU player in double-figures scoring 13 points and had the other six rebounds to lead the team.

Stony Brook 76, Maryland Eastern Shore 63
The Seawolves of Stony Brook came out of the gate playing competitively and outscored the Hawks of Maryland Eastern Shore 21-14 in the opening quarter. Stony Brook again led in the second quarter putting up 23 points to Maryland Eastern Shore’s 17 as the Seawolves led 44-31 at the break. SBU led UMES 17-12 in the third quarter but the Hawks managed to win the fourth quarter 20-15 over the Seawolves. Unfortunately, Stony Brook’s lead was too great to overcome as they won 76-63 over Maryland Eastern Shore.
UMES was led by Ja’la Bannerman with 15 points while Mahogany Lester added 13 more. Mya Thomas and Ariana Seawell were just outside the double-digit mark with nine points each.

Syracuse 80, Coppin State 47
The Orange of Syracuse led the entire game against Coppin State to claim an 80-47 victory. CSU managed to score 17 points in the third quarter and 12 in the fourth, to add nine more points to their total first half tally of 20 points.
Faith Blackstone had a career night putting up 19 points along with eight rebounds to lead the Eagles. Laila Lawrence added 10 points and six rebounds in the loss.
