NORFOLK, Va., Nov. 14, 2023 — North Carolina A&T State graduate student Lauren Tomaszewski was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola, the conference office announced today. University of Alabama Birmingham freshman Madison Colston was named the MEAC Rookie of the Week.
Tomaszewski (Gr., O’Fallon, Ill.) helped the No. 4 Aggies to a perfect 8-0 record at the MEAC Meet #1 defeat No. 12 Maryland Eastern Shore, Howard, No. 23 Delaware State and No. 25 Morgan State. She ranks second nationally in the NTCA individual scoring average overall with a 22.011-point average per frame. In traditional format she sits sixth and she is fourth in baker format. For the weekend, Tomaszewski averaged 21.88 pins per frame, had a 55.6 strike percentage while averaging 9.17 pins on her first ball.
Colston (Fr., Pinellas Park, Fla.) helped the Blazers to a fourth-place finish at the MEAC Meet #1 hosted by Coppin State. UAB picked up wins over No. 25 Morgan State, No. 23 Delaware State, Monmouth and Norfolk State. On the weekend, she averaged 17.56 pins per frame, had a 34.4 strike percentage and averaged 8.68 pins on first ball.

Brooke Roberts (Maryland Eastern Shore) led the Hawks to a 7-1 record finishing second at the opening MEAC meet of the season in Baltimore, Maryland. Roberts led the Hawks with an average of 197.6 pins per game which included a 9.71 average in first ball pins.
Victoria Davis (Coppin State) saw her Eagles finish sixth at the MEAC Meet #1 with a team total pinfall of 7,086. The rookie finished with a per frame average of 16.06 pins with a sum of fill percentage at 63.3%. She also averaged 8.19 pins on her first ball while making 50% of her makeable spares.
Sydney Reardon (Delaware State) was the highest finishing Hornet for Delaware State at the MEAC Meet #1. She averaged 18.85 pins per frame and had a fill percentage of 80%. Her average first ball was 8.74 and she converted 70.8% of her makeable spares.
