The Spartans of UNC Greensboro took the early lead over the Bulldogs of S.C. State en route to winning 61-30. In the first and second quarters, SCSU was held to just nine total points while UNCG scored 37 in the opening half. The Bulldogs added 21 points to their total in the second half but it was not enough to out do the Spartans who added another 24 to their score to claim the 61-30 win.
Jordan Releford and Taniya McGowan both scored six points for the Bulldogs to lead SCSU. Jada Morgan and Heavan Harper both added four apiece while five others scored two points each.

Maryland Eastern Shore 91, Washington Adventist 71
The Hawks picked up their first win of the season outscoring the Shock 91-71. UMES opened the game scoring 32 points in the first quarter and added 14 in the second to lead 46 to 37 at the break. Both teams scored 17 points in the third quarter but Maryland Eastern Shore added 28 in the fourth to claim the win.
Mya Thomas led the Hawks with 20 points and added eight rebounds to her total. Ashanti Lynch contributed 19 points with six rebounds, while Ja’la Bannerman tallied 15 points in the win. Ariana Seawell was the last Hawk in double digits with 10 points and eight rebounds.

Mount St. Mary’s 74, Coppin State 60
The Eagles fell to 0-3 on the season after dropping Saturday’s game to the Mountaineers of Mount St. Mary’s 74-60. Mount St. Mary’s opened the game on a strong foot scoring 42 points in the opening half while holding Coppin State to 25 points. CSU outscored MSMU 35-32 in the second half but the effort was not quite enough to catch the Mountaineers as the Eagles dropped the contest.
Malik Battle led CSU with 16 points while Greg Spurlock added 14 of his own. Justin Winston was the last Eagle to score in double-digits with 10 points.
