Coppin State had already secured the No. 1 seed prior to the start of their match against Morgan State this evening. The Eagles still had something to fight for in the regular season finale, a win to send off their seniors in their final home game of their careers. CSU did just that sweeping MSU in three sets.
Set one was tight as the Eagles only won by three points, 25-22, over the Bears. Coppin State commanded the pace of the next two sets winning 25-15 and 25-12 while holding Morgan State to five and eight kills in the last two games.
TaKenya Stafford led the Eagles with 11 kills to go along with her 11 digs for a double-double. Ammaarah Williams was close to a double-double with eight kills and 12 digs.

Howard 3, Norfolk State 1
Norfolk State opened the game by picking up a narrow victory in set one, 25-23. The Bison stampeeded back and won out the next three sets to claim the match 3-1. Set two was another close match as Howard won it 25-21. The last two sets were pretty well commanded by the Bison winning 25-16, 25-15.
Rya McKinnon led the Bison with 15 kills and added 18 digs for a double-double. Jennifer Bolden and Amanda Ifeanyichukwu also scored in double-digits with 13 and 12 kills respectively.
Howard will enter the 2023 MEAC Volleyball Championship Tournament as the No. 2 seed while Norfolk State will be the No. 5.

Delaware State 3, Maryland Eastern Shore 1
The Hawks began the match by winning set one 25-20 over the Hornets. Delaware State claimed the next two sets in commanding fashion taking sets two and three 25-16 and 25-14 respectively. The fourth set needed extra points to decide the victor in the battle for third in the standings. DSU ended up taking the fourth set 30-28 and the match 3-1.
Ella Sanders led the Hornets with 16 kills, three aces. An assist, two blocks, and seven digs. Alondra Maldonado joined Sanders in double-digits recording 12 kills. Gerren Tomlin was one kill away from a double-double tallying nine kills and 14 digs on the night. For the Hawks Ranyla Griggs and Lyric Snowden led the team with 11 and 10 kills respectively.
DSU becomes the No. 3 seed in the 2023 MEAC Volleyball Tournament while Maryland Eastern Shore is the No. 4 seed.

North Carolina Central 3, South Carolina State 1
NCCU came back after dropping the opening set to win the next three games en route to defeating SCSU. With the win, N.C. Central claims the No. 6 seed in the 2023 MEAC Volleyball Championship Tournament, while S.C. State will enter as the No. 8 seed.
The Bulldogs opened the match taking a 25-20 win in set one. North Carolina Central came screaming back in set two taking that game 25-14. The last two sets were closely contested but N.C. Central held on to win sets three and four 25-21 and 25-22 respectively.
Jeslyn Spencer led the Eagles with 19 kills and two blocks while also tallying eight digs. Emmie Modlin collected 16 kills, an assist, two aces, three blocks, and nine digs. Isa Dostal was the last Eagle with double-figures with 12 kills. Bella Dearinger put up 43 assists with 11 digs.
