San Antonio, Texas -- The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference will partner with AthleteTalk for the 2023 Cross Country Championship hosted by Delaware State on Saturday, Oct. 28.

During the 2023 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Cross Country Championships, AthleteTalk will provide all student-athletes and coaches with access to mental health and wellness content. This is the first digital mental health activation at an NCAA member conference championship. 

AthleteTalk utilizes a social media wellness feed, multi-day wellness plans, wellness videos, and more to engage athletes in mental health "workouts". AthleteTalk combines these key features to normalize mental health, break the stigma around mental health, and compel athletes to work on their mental health and wellness.

Over the two-day event, student-athletes will “compete” against each other, by completing brief mental health plans, sharing quotes, facts, and strategies to social media, and completing wellness workouts. The male athlete, female athlete, team, and coach atop of the leaderboard at the end of the championship will be awarded AthleteTalk Wellness “Game Changer” chains.  

Delaware State University and Norfolk State University are currently mental health partners with AthleteTalk.
