WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Destiny Howell led the way with 24 points as Howard ended North Carolina Central's three-game winning streak with a 75-54 win at Burr Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
The Bison improved to 8-11 overall and 4-2 in MEAC play.
Howell was 9-for-20 from the floor and hit four of her eight 3-point tries. Azaih Hudson added 16 points on 4-for-8 shooting and hitting all seven of her free throws. Brooklyn Fort-Davis grabbed a team-high eight rebounds, as Howard held a 45-36 edge on the glass.

Morgan State 59, Delaware State 36
DOVER, Del. -- Morgan State senior guard Ja'Niah Henson scored a game-high 24 points on 7-for-12 shooting, including 4-for-8 from 3-point range to lead Morgan State to a 59-36 MEAC victory over Delaware State at Memorial Hall.
Morgan State (12-6, 5-0 MEAC) has now won four straight over the Hornets in Dover. The Lady Bears led from wire-to-wire to record their fifth consecutive victory and their seventh straight over Delaware State.
Charlene Shepherd added eight points, a game-high 10 rebounds – all defensive – and had a game-high four steals and two blocks, while Sedayjha Payne finished with eight points and five rebounds. Taylor Addison tallied seven points to go with six boards.

Norfolk State 64, South Carolina State 43
NORFOLK, Va. -- Three Norfolk State players scored in double figures as the Spartans extended their home winning streak to 17 games with a 64-43 rout of South Carolina State in a MEAC game on Saturday afternoon at Joseph G. Echols Memorial Hall.
Norfolk State (17-4 overall, 5-1 MEAC) rebounded from Monday night's loss at Morgan State.
Deja Francis scored seven of her 12 points in the opening half and added five rebounds, four steals and three assists. Mahoganie Williams added eight of her 12 points in the second half, along with five boards. Camille Downs chipped in 10 points, with a team-high six steals and four boards, while Kierra Wheeler grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds, with nine points, three blocked shots and a pair of assists.
