NORFOLK, Va., Sept. 28, 2022—Delaware State sophomore Mosa Aboeid was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola, the conference office announced today. Morgan State senior Rachel Field was named Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Aboeid (So., Greensboro, N.C.) was the top MEAC finisher at the Delaware State Sting Invitational this past Saturday, finishing third with a season- and MEAC-best 27:35.7 over the 8K course at the Delaware State Outreach & Research Center.
Field (Sr., San Tan Valley, Ariz.) paced the MEAC field at the Delaware State Sting Invitational, completing the 5K course in 19:19.3 to finish seventh on the individual leaderboard. Her time is the fourth-fastest in the conference at that distance so far this season.

Amadou Ba (Coppin State) ran a 28:41.9 at the Sting Invitational to finish 16th.
Jahmel Wyatt (Coppin State) was 23rd in the Sting Invitational with a 5K time of 20:57.7.
Jadyn Comer (Delaware State) ran a 21:49.9 to finish 25th in the Sting Invitational.
Nahom Ftwi (Maryland Eastern Shore) paced the Hawks at the Sting Invitational, finishing seventh with a 28:08.9.
Asshanni Robb (Maryland Eastern Shore) was 26th in the Sting Invitational with a 21:52.2.
Davian Gray (Morgan State) came in fifth with a 27:40.3 at the Sting Invitational.
Jada Banks (South Carolina State) ran a 19:24.0 at the Queen City Invite to finish fourth.
Matron Thornton (South Carolina State) ran a 29:00.0 to lead the Bulldogs at the Queen City Invite.
