NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Delaware State bowling claimed the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-Academic Team Award while landing nine on the All-Academic list for the 2021-2022 season as announced by the NTCA yesterday.
The Hornets recorded an overall team GPA of 3.83 to claim the award.
The National Tenpin Coaches Association recognizes NCAA bowling team that excel academically each year. Programs must have a cumulative team GPA of a 3.2 or higher for the academic school year and be a current member of the NTCA. 52 bowling programs achieved a cumulative team GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Individually Alyssa Breidegam, Emily Breidegam, Cierra Brown, Kelsey Cummings, Sydney Reardon, Delaney Reitnauer, Skylar Tenan, Stefanny Toala and Ellyana Williams were all recognized with NTCA All-Academic honors.
The National Tenpin Coaches Association recognizes student-athletes who have excelled in the classroom throughout the academic year. This year there are 397 honorees, representing NCAA bowling programs at 67 schools. A student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher for the academic school year to qualify for this award.
