Veronica Wiggins is the most successful softball coach in the history of the sport in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), and her resume makes her one of the most accomplished coaches in the sport anywhere in the nation.
A 2022 inductee into the MEAC Hall of Fame, Wiggins served as head softball coach at Florida A&M from 1990 through 2020. She won more than 700 games in her illustrious career -- including a stellar 281-90 mark in conference play. Wiggins' teams won a startling 13 MEAC championships (1993, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017) and made 11 appearances in the NCAA Softball Championship.
A five-time MEAC Coach of the Year (1993, 1997, 1998, 2006, 2007), Wiggins was inducted into the Florida A&M Athletics Hall of Fame in 2006.
