MEAC Announces Softball Academic Honors

NORFOLK, Va., May 12, 2022 – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) has announced the 2022 Softball All-Academic Selections, honoring 94 student-athletes from the conference’s eight softball-playing institutions who have achieved academic success.

MEAC sophomore, junior and senior student-athletes with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average (GPA), as well as transfer student-athletes who have been in residence at the institution for at least one year, are eligible for All-Academic accolades.

“I want to congratulate our softball student-athletes who have excelled in the classroom this season,” MEAC Commissioner Sonja Stills said. “So much of the focus on intercollegiate athletics focuses on what happens on the field, what happens in the classroom is the ultimate goal, and these young ladies are to be commended for their accomplishments.”
