WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Howard University women's tennis edged out long-time rival Morgan State 4-3 in a MEAC showdown on Sunday at Banneker Recreation Center.
With the victory, Howard (8-2, 5-0 MEAC) extended its win streak to six matches, while earning sole possession of the top spot in the conference standings.

DURHAM, N.C. -- All four Eagles that played on Saturday won in both singles and doubles as the North Carolina Central men's tennis team coasted to a 7-0 MEAC victory over Norfolk State.
The senior trio of Miles Clark, Sebastian Pino and Amit Baran joined freshman Oliver Saarinen in the win column for the Eagles.

Howard Men Roll Past Coppin State
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Howard University men's tennis team rolled past conference rival Coppin State 6-1 on Friday at Banneker Recreation Center.
With the victory, Howard improved to 5-5 (3-1 MEAC) on the season, while the Eagles dropped to 1-10 (1-3 MEAC).
In doubles competition, rookies Tory Bailey and Marcel Dawson defeated Coppin State's Vansh Kapoor and Dean Waterman, 6-3.

North Carolina Central Wins Over Norfolk State
DURHAM, N.C. -- Sophomore Maria Picazo and freshman Isabelle Exsted teamed up for a doubles win and then they both won in singles to lead the North Carolina Central women's tennis team to a 5-2 home victory over Norfolk State on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore No. 2 Jade Houston, freshman No. 5 Lafi Joao and senior No. 6 Hannah Gaines also won in singles for the victorious Eagles.
NCCU improved to 4-12 on the season and 2-4 against conference competition. Norfolk State slipped to 2-11 and 1-4.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Morgan State men's tennis team defeated the Howard Bison 6-1 in a MEAC match Saturday afternoon at Banneker Recreation Center.
The Bears improved to 7-6 overall for the season, while Howard fell to 5-6.
