BALTIMORE, Md. – Coppin State's softball team got solid pitching from its staff as the Eagles swept a doubleheader against South Carolina State on Saturday afternoon at CSU Softball Complex.  With the two victories, the Eagles secured its place in the MEAC Tournament, which is set for May 11-14 in Norfolk, Va.
 
Vanessa Carrizosa was dominant in her outing in game one, which Coppin won, 7-2.  In 5.0 innings, Carrizosa did not allow a run and struck out eight while giving up just four hits.  Carrizosa also helped her own cause at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI.

DOVER, Del.– The Howard University softball team grabbed a pair of road wins at Delaware State Saturday afternoon. Howard won game one, 10-3, and rallied to take the nightcap, 9-5.
 
The wins mark the program's highest win total since 2006 (25).

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore softball team got a pair of pitching gems on Saturday as they swept the Norfolk State University Spartans in a doubleheader.
 
The Hawks won game one 4-3 and game two 5-1. Saturday's victories were the first time the program has beaten NSU since the 2017 season.

BALTIMORE, Md. – The Morgan State softball team swept a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheader from North Carolina Central on Saturday. MSU won 9-1 (6) and 2-1.
