North Carolina Central Posts Historic Scores at Bash at the Beach
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- North Carolina Central registered several historic scores during the Bash at the Beach event, hosted by Appalachian State University at the Surf Golf and Beach Club on Monday and Tuesday.
NCCU junior Daniel Barbare posted a career-best 3-under-par 68 in the second round on Monday, which is the lowest score by an Eagle in four years and tied for the third-lowest round in program history. His final round of 70 provided Barbare with the second-best 36-hole total (138) in the NCCU records book, trailing only Brian Demby's 135 in 2005.
Barbare finished the event with a three-round total of 214 (+1) to tie for 43rd place on the individual leaderboard.
As a team, NCCU's second-round tally of 292 ranks third in program history, accounting for the Eagles' best team score since the 2015-16 season.

Hawks Post Best Team Round of Season at Bash at the Beach
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- In the most competitive field that the team has faced all season, Maryland Eastern Shore held its own this week in the Bash at the Beach event at Surf Golf & Beach Club.
In the third and final round of the tournament, the Hawks posted a team score of 300. That number is the best for the squad as a whole this season.
Senior Mike Weller was the catalyst for the strong round on Tuesday, as he shot a 70 (-1) in the third round. He is the first Hawk to go under par for a round this season and finished the tournament with a 228.
