Norfolk State will face defending national champion and No. 1 seed Baylor in the first round of the 2022 NCAA Div. I Men's Basketball Championship on Thursday in Fort Worth, Texas.

This will be the third all-time NCAA trip for the Spartans and second straight. Norfolk State defeated Coppin State 72-57 on Saturday to claim its second straight Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) tournament championship.

The Bears come into the tournament at 26-6 and are the No. 1 seed in the East Region. They fell in the quarterfinals of the Big XII Tournament on Thursday to Oklahoma.

North Carolina vs. Marquette will be the other game in Norfolk State's portion of the bracket.
