North Carolina A&T State Finishes Runner-Up in Stallings Invite

GREENSBORO, N.C. --
Even though the Aggies failed to win their invitational for the first time in three years as Vanderbilt took the crown, they took some steps toward their goal of capturing a national championship. The Aggies are 71-34 on the season after a 10-1 weekend. Ericka Quesada, Melanie Katen and Lauren Tomaszewski earned all-tournament honors.

Quesda earned tournament MVP honors.

The Aggies came into Sunday's bracket play 9-0, having knocked down 10,224 total pins against some of the best teams in America as seven nationally-ranked teams made their way to Greensboro this weekend. N.C. A&T's total pins earned the Aggies a second seed in bracket play behind top-seeded Vanderbilt, with 10,411 total pins coming into Sunday morning.

Therefore, the Aggies and the Commodores faced each other in a best-of-seven to start the day. The matchup became what was expected from two top-10 nationally-ranked squads as the Aggies defeated the Commodores, 4-3.
