North Carolina Central 77, Coppin State 74
 
BALTIMORE, Md. – The North Carolina Central University men's basketball program held its resolve one more time this season, and erased an 11-point deficit in the first half to pick up a 77-74 win over Coppin State on Monday, Feb. 14 inside the Physical Education Center.
 
NCCU (13-11, 6-2 MEAC) has now won four games where it has trailed by 10 points or more, and is now 5-1 in games decided by five points or fewer.
 
Monroe motored NCCU with his third double-double of the year, and did so by making five treys on the way to a season-high 21 points, and a game-high 11 rebounds.  Wright chipped in 19 points, and Miller poured in 14 of his own.  Eric Boone was the fourth player in maroon and gray to hit double-digits, and he put in 10 points with four rebounds, and four assists.
 
Mike Hood led CSU with 17 points, and Nendah Tarke posted 14 points with five rebounds, five assists, and four steals.  Sita Conteh was also a factor for CSU with 14 points.

Howard 77, Maryland Eastern Shore 71
 
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Howard University men's basketball team pulled off a big conference road win at Maryland Eastern Shore, 77-71, inside the William P. Hytche Athletic Center.
 
With the victory, Howard (13-10, 6-3 MEAC) extended its winning ways to five games, its longest streak in nearly seven seasons.
 
Six-time Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Rookie of the Week Elijah Hawkins flirted with a double-double, ending with 10 points and eight assists, while graduate guard tai Bibbs added nine points and three rebounds in the win.
 
For Maryland Eastern Shore (8-12, 3-6 MEAC), Kevon Voyles had a team-leading 14 points while Mensah and Nugent netted 11 points each in the loss.
 

Morgan State 76, South Carolina State 66
 
BALTIMORE, Md. – The Morgan State men’s basketball team posted a 76-66 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference win over South Carolina State on Monday night at Hill Field House.
 
Trevor Moore led Morgan State (8-12, 3-5 MEAC) with a game-high 17 points. Lagio Grantsaan had 13 points and Malik Miller finished with a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds.
 
SC State (13-12, 5-4 MEAC) was led offensively by Antonio “TJ” Madlock with 16 points. Omar Croskey (15), Jemal Davis (13) and Edward Oliver-Hampton (10) also scored in double figures for the Bulldogs.
  

Norfolk State 69, Delaware State 66
 
DOVER, Del. -- Redshirt junior Dana Tate Jr. had a game-high 20 points to lead the Norfolk State men's basketball team to a 69-66 win over Delaware State on Monday evening in Dover. The win over marked the 100th career MEAC win for head coach Robert Jones. His first conference win was on Dec. 5, 2013, against former MEAC member Florida A&M, 91-87 in Norfolk.
 
In addition to Tate's 20, both Jalen Hawkins with 14 and Joe Bryant Jr. with 11 reach the double-figure point mark. Both Bryant and junior Christian Ings had seven rebounds, game-highs, apiece while both Bankston and junior Tyrese Jenkins each finished with five. Bryant had the game-high six assists.
 
John Stansbury led DSU with 15 points while Ronald Lucas a team-high four rebounds.
