Six Coppin State players scored in double figures Monday afternoon at the PEC Arena, as the Eagles won their fifth straight by defeating North Carolina Central 84-61.

Mossi Staples led Coppin (13-9, 7-2 MEAC) with 23 points, going 5-for-10 from the floor, hitting three 3-pointers and going 10-for-11 from the free throw line. She also had two steals.

Joining Staples in double figures were Colleen Bucknor (12), Alexandria Hamilton (10), Aliyah Lawson (10), Jaia Alexander (10) and Jewel Watkins (10). Alexander grabbed a team-high eight rebounds, while Lawson added seven boards and four assists.

Ashlyn Lockard led NCCU (3-16, 1-8 MEAC) with 16 points.

Adia Brisker's 13 points led a balanced offensive effort for Morgan State Monday evening in Hill Field House, as the Lady Bears defeated South Carolina State 76-48.

Morgan (12-6, 6-2 MEAC) has won five straight games.

Brisker was 5-for-11 from the floor. Taylor Addison recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Ja'Niah Henson, Sunshine McCrae and Charlene Shepherd each scored 10 points.

Nicole Gwynn led S.C. State (3-20, 3-6 MEAC) with 12 points.

Norfolk State 76, Delaware State 31

DOVER, Del. --
Norfolk State held Delaware State to 28.6% shooting, while Janay Turner dropped 20 points to lead the Spartans to a 76-31 win over the Hornets in Memorial Hall on Monday.

The Spartans (12-8, 8-1 MEAC) remain atop the conference standings.

Turner was 8-for-13 from the floor and hit four 3-pointers. Mahoganie Williams added 19 points and 12 rebounds for her third double-double of the season, while also blocking four shots and grabbing two steals. Deja Francis chipped in 15 points and six assists.

Unique Miller led the Hornets (0-17, 0-8 MEAC) with 13 points.
