BALTIMORE, Md. -- Jaia Alexander led four Eagles in double figures, dropping 25 points to lead Coppin State to an 80-55 win over South Carolina State in PEC Arena Saturday afternoon.
Alexander also grabbed 10 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season. She hit 10 of her 17 field goal attempts and went a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line.
Mossi Staples added 15 points for the Eagles (12-9, 6-2 MEAC), while Jalynda Salley chipped in 13 points and seven rebounds. Aliyah Lawson added 11 points.

Howard 83, Delaware State 44
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Howard University Bison defense was too much for the Delaware State Hornets, forcing 28 turnovers to cruise past Delaware State 83-44 Saturday afternoon in Burr Gymnasium.
Four Bison scored in double digits, led by Krislyn Marsh recording a season-high 17 points and 11 rebounds for her second double-double of the season. Nyla Cooper scored 10 points, all in the first quarter, while Vanessa Udoji recorded 13 points and Anzhane' Hutton added 10 points.
The Bison bench outscored the Hornets 48-0 and recorded 19 fastbreak points, 13 steals and forced a season-high 28 points.

Morgan State 62, North Carolina Central 57
BALTIMORE, Md. -- Ashia McCalla dropped a game-high 21 points, and Ja'Niah Henson added 15 points as Morgan State escaped Hill Field House with a 62-57 win over North Carolina Central Saturday afternoon.
The Bears improved to 11-6 overall and 5-2 in MEAC play.
McCalla was 8-for-11 from the floor and 3-for-4 from 3-point range. Henson added four steals to her offensive output, and Adia Brisker grabbed a team-high five rebounds.
Diamond Thomas led the Eagles with 20 points.

Norfolk State 66, Maryland Eastern Shore 52
NORFOLK, Va. -- Janay Turner's 17 points helped Norfolk State bounce back on Saturday afternoon with a 66-52 win over Maryland Eastern Shore in Echols Hall.
The Spartans improved to 11-8 overall and a MEAC-best 7-1 in conference play.
Turner hit four 3-pointers and was joined in double figures by Deja Francis (13) and Mahoganie Williams (10). Williams also came one rebound shy of a double-double and blocked a pair of shots.
Camille Downs added nine points, five rebounds and three steals.
