BALTIMORE, Md. -- 
Sam Sessoms hit a stepback jumper with 1.5 seconds remaining to lift Coppin State past Loyola University Maryland 74-71 on Saturday night at Reitz Arena.

A senior from Philadelphia, Pa., Sessoms finished with 35 points on 15-of-22 shooting as the Eagles improved to 4-6 on the season.
 
Sessoms' 35 points are a season high and it was the seventh time in his career, the first time this season, that he went for over 30 points. His 15 field goals match a career high that he set against Boston University on Dec. 7, 2019, as a member of Binghamton, where he scored a career-high 40 points.

North Carolina Central 127, St. Andrews 40

DURHAM, N.C. -- 
North Carolina Central broke school records for most points scored and largest margin of victory during a 127-40 win over St. Andrews University on Saturday afternoon inside McDougald-McLendon Arena, as the Eagles improve to 5-0 at home this season.

All 15 Eagles that stepped on the court scored, as junior guard Ja'Darius Harris topped seven NCCU double-figure scorers with a game-high 18 points. Senior forward Cameron Butler secured his second career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while senior forward Kris Monroe tallied 13 points.

Monroe continued his hot streak from long distance on Saturday, connecting on 4-of-8 from beyond the arc.

DOVER, Del. -- 
Longwood scored 25 straight points during a more than eight-minute stretch of the second half to highlight its 75-49 victory over Delaware State in Memorial Hall on Saturday.

Martaz Robinson was Delaware State's high scorer with 12 points.

Howard University redshirt junior Steve Settle III recorded a double-double (14 points & 10 rebounds) and graduate Jelani Williams and Jordan Wood contributed 15 points and 14 points, respectively, but it was not enough as the Bison fell 74-65 to Hampton University at the Hampton Convocation Center.

Senior guard Malik Miller scored a game-high 24 points with 14 rebounds as Morgan State connected on 10 3-pointers; however, Bowling Green rallied for an 86-76 win in non-conference action Saturday afternoon at the Stroh Center.

NORFOLK, Va. -- 
Crosstown rivals Norfolk State and Old Dominion battled neck-and-neck for 40 minutes on Saturday afternoon at Chartway Arena, as ODU came away with a 68-62 victory.
 
Joe Bryant, Jr. and Christian Ings powered the Spartan offense in the backcourt all night. Bryant finished the game with a team-high 17 points and six assists, while Ings scored 13 points and dished out a team-best seven assists.

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- 
Freshman guard Jordan Simmons tossed in a team-high 14 points, three steals and assists, but it wasn't enough as South Carolina State dropped an 88-76 decision to Furman Saturday inside Timmons Arena.
