Delaware State 3, Coppin State 2
DOVER, Del. -- Delaware State jumped out to a 2-0 edge in Sunday afternoon's match against first-place Coppin State in Memorial Hall, but fought through an Eagles comeback to take the match 3-2 (25-12, 25-20, 23-25, 20-25, 15-12).
The Hornets improved to 19-6 overall with their fourth straight win and are 9-3 in MEAC play.
Alondra Maldonado led the way with 21 kills for the Hornets, hitting .378 and adding four block assists for 23 total points. Karen Cordero added 11 kills, 13 digs and six service aces, while Jasmal Cruz racked up 29 digs.

Howard 3, South Carolina State 0
ORANGEBURG, S.C. -- Defending MEAC champion Howard University swept South Carolina State 3-0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-16) on Sunday in DUkes Gymnasium, hitting .397 as a team in the process.
The Bison (17-9, 10-2 MEAC) have won back-to-back matches.
Rya McKinnon led Howard with 12 kills and a .350 hitting percentage, while also notching eight digs and four service aces. Kayla Diaz racked up 37 assists -- an average of 12.3 per set -- and had four aces of her own.

North Carolina Central 3, Norfolk State 2
DURHAM, N.C. -- For the second time this season, North Carolina Central erased a two-set deficit to defeat MEAC rival Norfolk State in five sets as the Eagles concluded the NCCU Homecoming weekend with a 3-2 home win on Sunday afternoon inside the LeRoy T. Walker Complex.
Freshman Tori Wilson led the triumphant Eagles with 22 points, which is the most points by any NCCU player this season. Wilson and classmate Kamren Harper both contributed 16 kills, while sophomore Abby Vacha blasted a season-high 12 kills.
NCCU (6-18 overall, 4-8 MEAC) has now rallied from a 2-nil set deficit for to win 3-2 in three different matches this season (the first time was against Campbell).
