PRINCESS ANNE, Md. --
Nathaniel Pollard, Jr. led the way with 20 points and eight rebounds Tuesday as Maryland Eastern Shore defeated Marist 70-59 at the W.P. Hytche Athletic Center.

The Hawks improved to 2-3 on the season.

Pollard was 6-for-13 from the floor and 8-for-10 from the free throw line. Da'Shawn Phillip added 15 points, hitting three 3-pointers, while Chace Davis chipped in 10 points.

NORFOLK, Va. -- 
Norfolk State returned to Echols Hall on Tuesday afternoon, its first home game in nearly two weeks, and felt right at home. The Spartans dominated from the get-go, defeating St. Mary's College of Maryland 91-41.
 
Five different Spartans scored in double figures: Dana Tate, Jr. (15 points), Kris Bankston (15), Daryl Anderson (15), Joe Bryant, Jr. (12), and Terrance Jones (10).

As a team, Norfolk State shot 34-of-65 (52.3 percent) from the floor, 13-of-16 (81.3 percent) from the free throw line.

Towson 83, Coppin State 67

TOWSON, Md. --
Nendah Tarke and Sam Sessoms scored 20 points and 19 points, respectively, as Coppin State fell to crosstown rival Towson 83-67 Tuesday evening in SECU Arena.

Tarke was 7-for-11 from the floor, while also grabbing five rebounds and four steals. Sessoms dished out five assists.

Kam'Ron Blue added 12 points for the Eagles.
