NORFOLK, Va., Nov. 15, 2022—North Carolina A&T State junior Melanie Katen and Delaware State sophomore Sydney Reardon selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Co-Bowlers of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola, the conference office announced today. Morgan State’s Johnna Hill was named Rookie of the Week.
Katen (Jr., San Jose, Calif.) led the Aggies to an 8-0 mark at the MEAC #1 meet this past weekend, averaging 19.22 pins per frame in Baker competition. She converted 42% strikes and 84.1% spares, while notching an 85.2 fill percentage and averaging 8.84 pins on first ball.
Reardon (So., Ridgefield, Conn.) helped the Hornets tie for second at the MEAC #1 meet, averaging 20.29 pins per frame in 60 total frames bowled. She had an 88.9 fill percentage and averaged 9.06 pins on first ball, while converting 82.1% of spares.
Hill (Fr., Pittsburgh, Pa.) averaged 20.74 pins per frame at the MEAC #1 meet this past weekend, helping the Bears go 4-4 for the tournament. She had an 88.9 fill percentage and averaged 9.17 pins on first ball, while also converting 82.1% of her spares for the weekend. In 24 frames on Saturday, she recorded 18 strikes.

Logan Brown (Coppin State) averaged 19.29 pins per frame, bowling 82 frames, and notching a 51.2 strike percentage.
Alexis Ingersoll (Maryland Eastern Shore) averaged 19.89 pins per frame in 76 frames bowled and has an 83.1 fill percentage.
Carrington Beaman (Morgan State) averaged 19.28 pins per frame and 9.01 on first ball.
Keagan Trexler (UAB) averaged 19.31 pins per frame over 90 frames and had an 84.4 fill percentage.
