Delaware State earned its fourth win in MEAC competition after shutting out the Bulldogs of South Carolina State University on Sunday.
 
Junior middle blocker Alondra Maldonado led the offense with a match high in both kills (10) and total points (11). She added a pair of assisted blocks on the defensive side of the ball in the win. Karen Cordero also recorded a double-digit point performance after tallying seven kills and a game-best three service aces.
 
Setters Alayna Lacy (15) and Malgorzata Andersohn (13) combined for 28 of the team's 32 total assists.

Howard 3, Coppin State 1

WASHINGTON, D.C. --
Rya McKinnon led three Bison with double-digit kills on Sunday, as Howard outhit COppin State en route to a 3-1 (21-25, 25-16, 25-23, 25-16) win in Burr Gymnasium.

The Bison improved to 9-7 overall and 3-1 in MEAC play. The Eagles suffered their first MEAC loss of the season.

McKinnon had 13 kills and just four errors to hit .310 for the match -- in which the Bison outhit the Eagles .398 to .202 -- while Jennifer Bolden went error-free on 20 swings for 12 kills and a .600 hitting percentage. Tamar Wells added 10 kills and hit .444 after committing just two errors on 18 attempts.

Maryland Eastern Shore 3, North Carolina Central 1

DURHAM, N.C. -- 
Maryland Eastern Shore is returning from its trip down south with smiles on their faces, coming back with two MEAC wins after taking down North Carolina Central 3-1 (25-20, 13-25, 26-24, 25-23) on Sunday.
 
It's the first time the Hawks (4-12, 2-3 MEAC) have beaten the Eagles (3-13, 2-3 MEAC) in Durham since 2010, when the conference was split between North and South divisions.

The Hawks were spearheaded on offense by Nkemjika Ikemefuna's 15 kills and two aces, while chipping in two block assists and three digs. Charlize Williams finished the afternoon tallying up 11 kills with no errors and also was dominant at the net with two solo and two assisted blocks.

Norfolk State 3, Morgan State 0

BALTIMORE, Md. -- 
One day after Norfolk State football spoiled Morgan State's Homecoming with a dramatic road victory, the Spartans volleyball program joined in on the fun, sweeping Morgan State 3-0 on Sunday to earn their first 3-1 start to MEAC play since 2012.
 
NSU (3-11, 3-1 MEAC) earned set victories of 25-21, 25-23, and 25-18 to secure the team's second sweep in its last three matches. It was the Spartans first victory at Morgan State (2-17, 1-4) since 2018.
 
Carla Hernandez led the Spartans with team-highs of 11 kills and seven digs. Nicole Rodriguez also notched seven digs, while Shonte Seale and Sydney McCree each added seven kills, the latter tying her career best.
