2022-23 NTCA Preseason Top 25 Poll
Five Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) bowling programs have been ranked in the 2022-23 National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) Top 25 Preseason Poll, which was released earlier this week.
Two-time defending MEAC champion North Carolina A&T State, which is also the 2022-23 preseason favorite, is the highest ranked at No. 7. The Aggies boast MEAC Preseason Bowler of the Year Lauren Tomaszewski and fellow Preseason All-MEAC honoree Melanie Katen (last season's MEAC Bowler of the Year).
Delaware State, which also earned an NCAA Bowling National Championship berth last season, comes in at No. 12 in the preseason poll. The Hornets boast two Preseason All-MEAC honorees in Sydney Reardon (the 2021-22 MEAC Rookie of the Year) and Saralyne Nassberg.
Maryland Eastern Shore, with Preseason All-MEAC honoree Brooke Roberts, came in at No. 14. Morgan State (No. 19) and associate member Monmoth (No. 23) rounded out the conference's representation in the preseason poll.
Associate member UAB was listed among Others Receiving Votes.
McKendree was ranked No. 1 in the preseason poll, with Vanderbilt, Nebraska, Stephen F. Austin and Sam Houston State rounding out the top five.
