DURHAM, N.C. -- 
Coppin State needed five sets to defeat North Carolina Central on Sunday afternoon at McDougald-McLendon Arena.

With the win, Coppin recorded its 17th victory of the season, setting a new single-season school record and maintaining its lead in the MEAC with an 8-1 mark in league play.

Yaniris Miller-Green led all players with a career-high 19 kills while hitting .295 for the match on 44 swings. This broke her old mark 15 kills that she set against UTEP last season, when she attended FIU.

Miller-Green also recorded four blocks on the day.

Delaware State 3, Norfolk State 1

NORFOLK, Va. -- 
Delaware State earned a 3-1 MEAC victory over the Spartans of Norfolk State University on Sunday.
 
Delaware State was lead offensively by Valeria Otero and Alondra Maldonado, who recorded double digits in both points and kills in the win.
 
Otero notched a team-best 12.5 points by way of 11 kills, one solo block and one assisted block. She was one dig shy of a double-double, finishing the game with nine.

Maldonado landed a team-high 12 kills to help her team ensure the win.

Howard 3, Maryland Eastern Shore 1

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- 
Howard University topped rival Maryland Eastern Shore in four games (25-15, 19-25, 25-17, 25-23) at Burr Gymnasium on Alumni and Family Day.
 
With the win, Howard (14-7, 7-1 MEAC) extended its season-long win streak to eight matches, while the Hawks dropped to 3-6 in league play (5-16 overall).
 
Second-year Bison middle blocker Cimone Woodard led the way with a match-best 12 kills, five total blocks (one solo) and four service aces in the victory.

Morgan State 3, South Carolina State 1

ORANGEBURG, S.C. --
Morgan State ended its six-match losing skid with a 3-1 (29-31, 25-16, 25-10, 25-16) MEAC victory over South Carolina State on Sunday afternoon at Dukes Gymnasium.
 
The win, which completed a season series sweep of the Bulldogs, was the first road victory of the season for the Lady Bears, who improved to 27-0 all-time against SCSU.
 
Morgan State (3-20, 2-7 MEAC) recorded season highs in both kills (52) and digs (62). The Lady Bears would hit .211 on the afternoon. Madison Grace recorded a double-double with a match-high 14 kills and 10 digs, while Jourdan Page fell short of a double-double with 13 kills and nine digs.
