Coppin State 3, South Carolina State 0
ORANGEBURG, S.C. -- Coppin State matched a school record for wins in a season after sweeping South Carolina State 3-0 on Friday night at Dukes Gymnasium.
The Eagles also guaranteed themselves their third straight, and third ever, winning season while standing at 16-8 overall with a league-leading 7-1 record in the MEAC.
Yaniris Miller-Green paced the Eagles with eight kills, followed by Ahzhi Coleman with seven, Geraldyn Palacios with six and Ammaarah Williams with five. Miajavon Coleman chipped in with three kills, while Andrea Tsvetanova, Ayanna Pharoah, Hope Casel and Kiana Polk also got on the board with kills.
Tsvetanova and Pharoah split time at setter, with Tsvetanova tallying 19 aces to Pharoah's seven. The duo quarterbacked the Coppin offense to a .299 hitting percentage while holding the Bulldogs to -.113 hitting.

Norfolk State 3, Maryland Eastern Shore 2
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. -- For the second time this season, Norfolk State and Maryland Eastern Shore went the distance for a five-set, nervy MEAC bout. For the second time this season, NSU came away with a dramatic 3-2 victory.
Norfolk State (5-12, 5-2 MEAC) completed the regular season sweep of the Hawks (5-14, 3-5) by defeating UMES 25-16, 22-25, 25-21, 10-25, 15-9 for the team's third win in its last four matches.
The Spartans secured their first 5-2 start in conference play since 2012.
Paola Matos led the Spartans with 11 kills and Shonte Seale followed closely behind with 10. Sydney McCree racked up 29 assists and nine digs, while Nicole Rodriguez posted a match-high 19 digs.

North Carolina Central 3, Morgan State 0
DURHAM, N.C. -- Freshmen Tori Wilson and Kamren Harper combined for 25 kills in leading North Carolina Central to a 3-0 MEAC victory over Morgan State inside McDougald-McLendon Arena on Friday evening.
The Eagles completed the season-series sweep of the Bears with the 25-18, 25-21, 27-25 triumph. N.C. Central has now won two consecutive matches for the first time this season.
Wilson blasted a match-high 13 kills on just 22 attempts with only two errors for a sizzling .500 hitting percentage. Harper recorded two consecutive points to clinch the extended third set on her way to a dozen kills.
