Coppin State's Ammaarah Williams and Miajavon Coleman both reached double digits in kills, while Andrea Tsvetanova served another five aces in a 3-1 (25-23, 25-13, 22-25, 25-20) MEAC victory at Maryland Eastern Shore on Friday night.

The Eagles are currently tied for first in the MEAC with a 5-1 record in league play to go with a 14-8 overall mark.

Williams led all players with 12 kills while adding eight digs, an ace and a pair of blocks. Coleman hit .360 on the night with 11 kills and just two errors on 25 attacks. She also recorded seven digs and a pair of aces.

Delaware State kept pace in the conference race Friday evening with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-12, 25-15) win over Morgan State in Memorial Hall for the Hornets' fourth straight win.

Delaware State is now a MEAC-best 15-4 overall and 5-1 in conference play.

Alondra Maldonado and Valeria Otero each had nine kills for the Hornets, with Maldonado hitting .375 for the match. Delaware State hit .341 as a team, and Malgorzata Andersohn led the way with 21 assists and Alayna Lacy added another 13.

WASHINGTON, D.C. --
The defending MEAC champion Bison won their fourth straight match on Friday, defending Burr Gymnasium with a 3-0 (25-9, 25-11, 25-23) victory over North Carolina Central.

Howard is now 11-7 overall and 4-1 in MEAC play on the season.

Rya McKinnon led the way with 11 kills, hitting .471, while Colleen Temple hit .769 after going error-free in 13 swings and racking up 10 kills. Tamar Wells added nine kills and two blocks.

Kayla Diaz had 23 assists in two sets played for a Bison attack that hit .383 for the night.

Norfolk State 3, South Carolina State 0

NORFOLK, Va. -- 
Norfolk State got Homecoming weekend started in spectacular fashion, sweeping South Carolina State 3-0 at Gill Gymnasium. The result never looked in question, as the Spartans earned set victories of 25-11, 25-10, 25-11.
 
NSU received contributions across the lineup on Friday night, with 16 different Spartans notching a kill, assist or dig. The team recorded season highs in service aces (14) and hitting percentage (.373), while tying a season-low 10 attack errors.
 
Shonte Seale led the Spartans with seven kills, while Carla Hernandez and Paola Matos added six each. Nicole Rodriguez posted a team-best seven digs and Sydney McCree totaled 23 assists.
