Morgan State Women Win, Men Finish Second at Delaware State Farm Run
SMYRNA, Del. -- The Morgan State women's cross country team captured the DSU Farm Run Invitational on Friday, hosted by Delaware State University at the Delaware State Outreach & Research Center.
Morgan State won the team title with a total of 28 points to hold off the host Hornets, who finished with 33 points.
Rachel Field once again led Morgan State, crossing the line in a time of 20:24.8 to place second.

Lagat, Smith Win Individual Gold at Delaware State Farm Run
SMYRNA, Del. -- Delaware State's Devin Smith and Ashley Lagat each won gold in their respective races this past Friday at the DSU Farm Run at the Delaware State Outreach & Research Center.
Smith came in first place for the second time this season, leading the Hornet met to the team title after completing the 8K course in 26:59.1, finishing 19 seconds ahead of second-place Mosa Aboeid. Delaware State swept the top three spots and four of the top five.
In the women's 5K, Lagat ran a 20:11.6 to win, finishing 13 seconds ahead of Morgan State's Rachel Field.

Swepson Gives NCCU its Top Finish at Royals XC Challenge
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Sophomore Victoria Swepson raced to the top result for North Carolina Central cross country teams at the Royals XC Challenge hosted by Queens University of Charlotte at McAlpine Creek Park on Friday afternoon.
In the large women's race that featured 269 finishers, Swepson completed the 5k course in 19:19 to place 78th overall within the top 30-percent of the results. After missing NCCU's last race due to injury, Swepson returned to the lineup and improved her PR by 20 seconds.
