Coppin's Brown Wins Individual Crown at Bud Whitman Memorial; Eagles Finish Fifth

NEW CASTLE, Del. -- 
Coppin State's bowling team went 3-1 in its scheduled Baker Matches before defeating Kutztown in the final result position round to finish fifth at the Bud Whitman Memorial on Sunday afternoon at Bowlerama.
 
Over two days, Coppin went 7-3 overall with 9,257 total pins for an average of 181.51 pins per game.

Logan Brown finished atop the individual standings, knocking down 1,028 pins across five matches for a 205.60 average on day one.

Hornets Open 22-23 Campaign With Third-Place Finish at Bud Whitman Memorial

NEW CASTLE, Del. -- 
The Delaware State bowling team opened its 2022-23 season over the weekend at the Bud Whitman Classic hosted by Chestnut Hill College.
 
As a team, the Hornets finished in third place out of a 10-team field with a final record of 7-3 across the two-day tournament.
 
Individually, Delaware State was led by Kelsey Cummings, Sydney Reardon and Sydney Urben. Cummings was second in total pinfall (1,023) in traditional play, while Reardon was fourth (990).
