BALTIMORE, Md. --
Brooklyn Fort-Davis led three Bison in double figures with 23 points Monday evening, as Howard bounced back with a 70-64 win over Coppin State in PEC Arena.

The Bison improved to 8-7 overall, 2-1 in MEAC play on the season.

Fort-Davis went 9-for-12 from the floor and grabbed seven rebounds. Iyanna Warren added 16 points and three assists, while Anzhane' Hutton chipped in 15 points. Krislyn Marsh grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds.

Jaia Alexander led Coppin State (8-9, 2-2 MEAC) with 15 points.

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. --
Maryland Eastern Shore saw four players score in double figures on Monday, as the Hawks defeated North Carolina Central 81-59 at the Hytche Athletic Center for their first MEAC win of the season.

The Hawks improved to 5-10 overall and 1-2 in MEAC play.

Taylor Clayborne led the way with 15 points on 7-for-9 shooting, while Brooklyn Bailey and Aiana Seawell each added 12 points. Seawell also grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds, while Mya Thomas chipped in 11 points.

Diamond Thomas led NCCU (2-12, 1-4 MEAC) with 21 points.

Norfolk State 64, Morgan State 52

NORFOLK, Va. --
 Deja Francis scored 24 points and Camille Downs added 20 points and 10 steals to lead Norfolk State to its third straight win, 64-52 over Morgan State on Monday night at Echols Hall.

The Spartans (7-7, 3-0 MEAC) remained perfect in the MEAC by forcing the Bears (7-6, 1-2) into 30 turnovers. Norfolk State jumped out to a 20-point lead in the first half and weathered a second-half rally, pulling away to sweep its weekend home set against the conference's Baltimore schools.

Francis was 10-of-14 from the field, topping 20 points for the second straight game. She added three rebounds, three steals and two assists. Downs just missed a triple-double, finishing with a team-high eight rebounds.

Her 10 steals are the most by a Spartan since Chanette Hicks also had 10 at Jacksonville on Nov. 30, 2019.

South Carolina State 53, Delaware State 48

DOVER, Del. -- 
Freshman guard Nicole Gwynn led the way with a team-high 13 points, while All-MEAC performer Trinity Klock added a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds to lead South Carolina State to its third straight league win, 53-48 over Delaware State on Monday at Memorial Hall.

Sophomore forward Jayah Hicks tossed in 12 points and four rebounds, while Briauna Thompson added eight boards in the win.
