PRINCESS ANNE, Md. — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore Department of Athletics has made continued adjustments to both the men's and women's basketball Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) schedules due to COVID-19 protocols.

Monday's (Jan. 17) women's basketball contest versus Norfolk State has been postponed and will be replaced by a previously rescheduled contest against Howard University's women. Then Shore men will face off with Norfolk State as previously rescheduled.

So, on Jan. 17, Martin Luther King Day, the Eastern Shore women (4-8) will battle Howard (5-6) at 2 p.m. That game will be followed by the Hawks men (5-6) versus the Spartans (10-4) at 4 p.m.

The women's game versus Norfolk State has been moved to Feb. 7 at 5:30 p.m.

The men's basketball contest against Howard previously rescheduled to Feb. 14 will now be just a single game starting at 7 p.m.

Because of the persistence of the COVID-19 pandemic and the rise in current cases across the country please check back to easternshorehawks.com for any future changes as the conference schedule may be very fluid moving forward.
