DOVER, Del. -- 
Kristi Gomez topped all players with eight kills, while four teammates tallied five each to lead Delaware State to a 3-0 women's volleyball victory over Bowie State in Memorial Hall Tuesday evening.

The scores were 25-12, 25-8 and 25-14.
The shutout was the sixth of the season for the Hornets, who improved to 7-1. The contest marked the season opener for the Bulldogs.

Delaware State also recorded a MEAC season-high 16 service aces in the match. Malgorzata Andersohn led the way with seven service winners, tops among all MEAC players in a contest this season. She also tallied a match-high 17 assists and led the Hornets with six digs.

Adriana Rodriguez, Kelsie Dawson, Mayah Ngundam and Halo Yoshiki contributed five kills each for the Hornets.

Norfolk State 3, Regent 0

NORFOLK, Va. -- 
The trio of Paola Matos, Gracie Teeter and Shonte Seale combined for 26 kills in leading the Norfolk State volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Regent on Tuesday evening at Joseph Echols Hall.
 
The Spartans hit .232 and ran away with the victory, 25-19, 25-13, and 25-10. They hit .458 in the third set alone while holding Regent to a -.010 attack percentage for the match. Norfolk State earned its second win in a row to improve to 2-3 on the year.
 
Matos and Teeter each had nine kills, and the duo combined to hit .517 to pace the Spartan attack. Seale added eight kills a day after earning the MEAC Co-Player of the Week honor.

UNC Greensboro 3, North Carolina Central 2

GREENSBORO, N.C. --
North Carolina Central held a 2-0 lead after the first two sets Tuesday evening, but UNC Greensboro fought back to take the next three sets and win the match 3-2 (21-25, 22-25, 25-20, 25-12, 15-10).

Lauren Janok finished with 10 kills, 33 assists and 15 digs for NCCU's first triple-double in the Div. I era (since the start of the 2007-08 season). All three match totals are new career highs for Janok.
